SAINT LEON - SUR- VEZERE RIVER 10KM
Just 10 minute drive away from Domiane is this beautiful village - St Leon sur Vezere it is set in the Vezere valley between Montignac and Les Eyzies. It is a small village but located in one of the most beautiful settings.
You will find a couple of cafes (with delicious ice cream) a few restaurants in the centre of the village and galleries.
The river is fantastic for swimming, you will find many families spending the day swimming in the river, there are also some fantastic areas to enjoy a picnic. Great to plan a canoe trip on the Vezere river!

LASCAUX CAVES 6.5KM
Nicknamed "the Sistine Chapel of Prehistory" Lascaux 1, the original cave discovered in 1940 with wall paintings an estimated 17,000 years old. The paintings are primarily of Large animals, typical local and contempoary fauna that corresponded with the fossil record of the Upper Paleolithic time.

GROTTE DE ROUFFIGNAC (15 MIN BY CAR OF THE FIELD OF PEUCH)
Grotte de Rouffignac is located in the town of Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin, 5 km south of the village of Rouffignac. It is one of the largest known ornate caves, with 8 km of corridors, and the largest prehistoric cave in the Périgord Noir.
Before being decorated, about 15 000 years ago, by the prehistoric artists who drew or engraved 260 representations of bison, horses, ibex and woolly rhinoceros, but especially 160 mammoths, it was also the place of hibernation of the bears everywhere we find claw prints or nests.
It is by electric train, that one discovers this prehistoric sanctuary during a visit / conference of one hour.
